Douglaston has several marinas that provide boat slips, services, and facilities for boaters and water enthusiasts. Here are some of the marinas located in or near Douglaston:

Douglaston Yacht Squadron: Located on Little Neck Bay, the Douglaston Yacht Squadron is a private club that offers boat slips, sailing lessons, and social events for members. The marina is also home to a sailing school that offers lessons for children and adults.

Anchor Marina: Anchor Marina is a full-service marina located on Little Neck Bay. It offers boat slips, storage, repair services, and a fuel dock. The marina is also home to a restaurant that serves seafood and other dishes.

Oakland Lake Marina: Oakland Lake Marina is located just south of Douglaston and offers boat rentals, a bait and tackle shop, and a picnic area. The marina is also a popular spot for fishing.

Fort Totten Park Marina: Fort Totten Park Marina is located just north of Douglaston and offers boat slips, fueling services, and pump-out services. The marina is part of Fort Totten Park, a former military base that has been converted into a park.

Transportation

The Long Island Rail Road’s Port Washington Branch serves the Douglaston Station, which runs into Penn Station in Manhattan. 

Douglaston is served by several local bus routes operated by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA).

Q12: This bus route runs along Northern Boulevard, the main commercial thoroughfare in Douglaston. It connects Douglaston with Flushing to the east and Little Neck to the west.

Q30: This bus route runs along Little Neck Parkway, just east of Douglaston. It connects the neighborhood with Jamaica to the south and Little Neck to the north.

Q36: This bus route runs along the eastern border of Douglaston, along Marathon Parkway. It connects the neighborhood with Jamaica to the south and Bellerose to the north. 

QM5, QM8, QM35: These express bus routes provide direct service from Douglaston to Midtown Manhattan during weekday rush hours, making it easy for commuters to access jobs in the city. 

In addition to these routes, several other bus routes run along major roads within a short distance from Douglaston, such as the Q13, Q28, and Q31 routes along Bell Boulevard.

Douglaston is primarily served by two major highways that run nearby: the Long Island Expressway (LIE) and the Cross Island Parkway. 

The LIE is a major east-west highway across Long Island, connecting Queens with eastern Long Island. It is located south of Douglaston and easily accessible via the Douglaston Parkway interchange. 

The LIE provides convenient access to points east of Queens, such as Nassau and Suffolk counties, as well as to the major airports, including John F. Kennedy International Airport and LaGuardia Airport. 

The Cross Island Parkway is a north-south parkway that runs along the eastern border of Douglaston. It connects Queens with Nassau County to the south and the Bronx to the north. The parkway provides access to the Throgs Neck Bridge, which connects Queens to the Bronx, and the Whitestone Bridge, which connects Queens to the Bronx and Westchester County.
